How Do I Set Up a Free Agent Division and Roster them to Teams?

This article outlines how to create a free agent division and roster them to teams.

Build the Division

Once you have logged in to your profile at eventconnect.io and navigated to your event, click Event Setup -> Divisions. On this page, click the blue plus button in the bottom right hand corner.

When creating this division, the key change that you will make is toggling the "Rate Type" from Group to Individual. Once you have named the division and rate, and set the price and limit, hit save and create the division!

Place Free Agents on Teams

Once free agents have registered in your division, you can place them on teams. Go to Reporting -> Registration Report and select the free agent by toggling the checkbox beside their name. 

Click the "Move Memberships" icon on the toolbar in the bottom right. A modal will pop up where you can select the team to place the individual on from a drop down menu.

After selecting the team, hit "Next" then submit the placement of the individual. ***IMPORTANT - Once you have moved a free agent to a team, you cannot move them to a different team afterwards.

You can always double check that a player has been moved by clicking on the name of the team from the registration report. The player should be listed in the roster on the right hand side of the page.
